Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with more than 5 years of sales experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in laboratory diagnostics, or a Master's degree in a relevant field with more than 3 years of sales experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in laboratory diagnostics
  • Proven success in sales, particularly in commercializing premium-priced products
  • Experience engaging multiple stakeholders within hospitals, including laboratory and non-laboratory services
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Ability to meet supplier certification requirements
  • Availability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • (Asset) Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM
  • (Asset) Expertise in creating demand for innovative technologies rather than replacement technologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-departmental sales to hospitals, from introducing new diagnostic concepts to closing and implementing a portfolio of molecular diagnostic tests
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in client accounts
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with laboratories, pharmacies, infection control services, nursing management, emergency departments, risk management, and physicians in acute care settings to identify qualified prospects, increase market share, boost revenues, and reduce client attrition
  • Stimulate demand and adoption of new tests and instruments to achieve quarterly and annual order and revenue targets; improve profit margins on equipment, reagent, and service contract sales
  • Optimize the sales cycle using Salesforce.com (CRM tool) to track client and account activity, map visibility and market share, and prioritize sales opportunities
