  • Ability to lead EP strategy within an assigned territory to achieve sales volume, market penetration, and profitability objectives
  • Experience coordinating activities of Direct Sales Representatives, Clinical Specialists, and Associates to support ablation procedures using Abbott EP products
  • Full accountability for territory performance metrics including quality, compliance, cost, and delivery
  • Skills in leading, facilitating, and directing subordinates, including hosting quarterly business plan meetings and annual performance reviews
  • Capability to manage profitability, improve operating expenses as a percentage of sales, and increase revenue per head
  • Experience calling on physicians, medical laboratories, hospitals, and hospital management to sell Abbott USD medical devices
  • Ability to work strategically with Regional Sales Director to grow new business, maintain current business, and assess opportunities
  • Competence in coordinating with Regional Sales Director for hiring, promoting, and developing employees
  • Judgment in planning, organizing work, monitoring performance, and reporting status
  • Knowledge of best business practices to ensure success in areas of responsibility
  • Ensuring employee compliance with Abbott USD policies and practices

Responsibilities

  • Supervise direct reports and selling activity within assigned territory
  • Coordinate ablation schedules for Direct Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists
  • Partner with hospital management, physicians, and others to influence purchasing decisions and address customer questions/concerns
  • Participate in the contracting process for company products
  • Set strategy to help the region hit Capital Sales targets within the territory each year
  • Provide medical professionals with information, training on product use, staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting
  • Abide by all relevant policies and practices
