As a Territory Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales strategies and attracting new clients within the Dakotas and western Minnesota territory for Neogen Food Safety Products. You will play a key role in driving growth, achieving financial targets, and managing relationships with clients and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science, or Sales is preferred.
  • Successful history of time and territory management.
  • Successful sales performance and territory track record or meeting/exceeding forecast expectations.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience using Sales Force.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with “Solution Selling” methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Dakotas and western Minnesota territory to drive and support growth with Neogen Food Safety Products.
  • Implementing and executing on business priorities.
  • Delivering on financial and forecast expectations.
  • Conducting business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts, and focused market segments.
  • Developing sales strategies and adjusting to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines and working cross-functionally with other business disciplines.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities and closing sales to achieve quotas.
  • Managing and growing business within a set geography.
  • Closing and growing sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.
  • Identifying and resolving client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
  • Expanding market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively.
  • Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required.
  • Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information).
  • Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Making technical presentations and webinars.
  • Working knowledge of price calculations.
  • Researching market requirements and market data.
  • Maintaining current Neogen product knowledge.
  • Demonstrating and explaining best practices in installation techniques for all Neogen products.
