Requirements
Candidates must possess strong journalistic skills with a proven ability to cover science news, including breaking news and in-depth features. Responsibilities
The Temporary Correspondent will report on scientific research, including topics like space flight, astrophysics, human origins, geology, archeology, basic science, and science policy. Responsibilities include developing leads for enterprise stories, producing special projects, filing news spots and digital posts, and preparing multimedia presentations. The correspondent will also need to cultivate sources from diverse communities, explain scientific research clearly to the audience, and contribute to both daily news coverage and longer-term feature stories. This role involves collaborating effectively with colleagues and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
