Court Reporter

Position Overview

• Location Type: Primarily Remote, with In-Person Coverage
• Job Type: Contract
• Reports To: Senior Operations Manager

This role offers the flexibility of being primarily remote while also requiring in-person coverage of depositions and legal proceedings. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded startup disrupting the legal industry with a modern platform for remote legal proceedings. You’ll be assisting with live sessions, combining your legal knowledge with technical support.

We combine secure video conferencing with intuitive tools for remote, in-person, and hybrid legal proceedings, modernizing processes like court reporting, testimony management, trial preparation, and video evidence. Responsibilities

• Assisting with live Prevail depositions/sessions, which include:
  • Recording on the Prevail platform
  • Deposition Read on/Swearing in Witness
  • Marking and maintaining Exhibits
  • Monitoring and managing the session
  • Assisting any sessions with technical/administrative needs

Requirements

• Current Court Reporting or Notary License for your state
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience with video conferencing/database platforms
• Excellent working knowledge of Google Workspaces/Slack/Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• A webcam, headset, and computer are needed for remote depositions!

Compensation

• Appearance Fee: $50 - $75 per hour (Range based on factors including location, experience, skills, and knowledge)
• Page Rate: To Be Determined (TBD)
