Requirements

Candidates must possess unrestricted AHPRA registration at a minimum of PGY4 level. Experience in emergency, urgent care, high-volume GP, or telehealth settings is highly regarded. Applicants should demonstrate excellent time management, the ability to confidently manage 10-15 minute consultations, and familiarity with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulation, and medico-legal obligations. Strong clinical judgment, an evidence-based and harm-reduction mindset, and robust documentation/admin skills are essential. Candidates must be comfortable working with multiple digital platforms, be punctual, reliable, and responsive, and value team collaboration and patient continuity. A commitment to consistent weekly hours is required.

Responsibilities

The Telehealth Medical Practitioner will deliver high-quality telehealth consultations to a diverse patient base. This includes managing clinical assessments, prescriptions (S4 & S8), and follow-up consults. Practitioners will utilize digital tools to optimize patient outcomes and service efficiency, working closely with nurses and doctor support teams to streamline care. Maintaining complete documentation and compliance in a digital-first environment is also a key responsibility.
