Continuity Clinician - Medical Doctor

Position Overview

• Salary: $178,350 - $205,000 per year

Requirements

• Unrestricted medical license
• Multiple state licenses are helpful, or the willingness and ability to obtain them
• Living in an IMLC state is desirable but not required
• Board certified in a relevant specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Endocrinology are preferred)
• Experience and competence in diabetes management
• Outstanding bedside manner and patient service orientation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Deep interest in the science behind Virta and commitment to Virta’s nutritional approach to diabetes reversal
• Telemedicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality patient-centered care.
• Manage a panel of patients through continuous remote care, collaborating with health coaches and supported by the clinical team, including endocrinologists.
• Be proactive in ensuring adequate follow-up for patients and their concerns.
• Share after-hours coverage with the team on a rotating basis (approximately 1 in 8 weeks).
• Actively participate in the development of new technology and protocols to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and health coaches.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset, flexibility, and agility in a rapidly growing company.
• Supervise NP members of the team and contribute to improving quality of care.
