Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in a training environment; coaching, training and/or presenting materials
  • 2+ years of hands-on hydraulic experience
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead presentations
  • Sufficient human relations skill to effectively teach adult learners in diverse groups and on an individual basis
  • Ability to simultaneously organize multiple activities, training programs
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software
  • Experience coaching specialized principles and practices associated with technical and skill development for technical, production, trades, and working production positions
  • Experience Leading and Participating in Kaizen and 5S events
  • Experience coordinating multiple training programs, conducting training, as well as provide training needs assessment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with training of team members on topics such as safety, quality, product operations, lean manufacturing, and tool use
  • Support Terex Utilities Foundations training and other Terex Business Systems initiatives
  • Advance the Terex culture of continuous improvement as a versatile trainer of Terex Business System
  • Demonstrate proficiency in teaching methods including traditional lecture, hands-on labs, on shop floor applications, and use of technology to deliver standardized training materials
  • Consult with business leaders to determine training needs
  • Develop and maintain a clean, safe, and positive classroom environment that facilitates respect, active learning, group management, self-expression, cultural responsibility, adult-initiated learning, and responsive problem solving
  • Determine training schedules, coordinate equipment and materials
  • Follow a consistent schedule, providing planned experiences that include both small and large groups
  • Develop training agendas and maintain a consistent schedule
  • Evaluate training packages, including outline, instructional objectives, text, handouts, and exercises; recommend modifications to meet the needs of the business and participants
  • Coordinate and/or conduct training in areas such as continuous improvement, communications, leadership, and customer service
  • Ensure adequate supplies of training materials and learning aids
  • Monitor student feedback during training and laboratory demonstrations
  • Document personnel training information and provide updates and reports
  • Have responsibility for Train the Trainer
  • Write material for new training programs; review, evaluate, recommend appropriate changes and modify existing and proposed programs
  • Initiate training needs surveys and self-assessment documents to determine systematic training and development needs
  • Facilitate small and large group exercises
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
