Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong technical foundation in databases, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux/Unix administration, or programming/scripting (Python, Bash, Java, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive, customer-first mindset. The ability to work independently in a remote environment and align with Central Time Zone business hours is also required. Familiarity with open-source software, community projects, and PostgreSQL or other relational databases are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Technical Support Engineer will provide timely, empathetic, and technically sound assistance to customers using YugabyteDB. This includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to distributed databases, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and application integrations. Responsibilities also involve collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Documentation teams, maintaining detailed case documentation, contributing to knowledge base articles, and participating in a global on-call rotation.
