Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in a technical support or product specialist role, preferably focused on macOS and troubleshooting desktop applications. A strong understanding of software development processes and coding/scripting experience is beneficial. The ability to triage, investigate, escalate, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering, QA, and support teams is essential. Expertise in diagnosing complex technical issues, analyzing system logs, console logs, crash dumps, and performance metrics is required. Familiarity with tools such as Zendesk, Slack, Linear, Datadog, Postman, Github, Notion, Sentry, or Charles Proxy is a plus. Applicants must be pragmatic, motivated by ambiguous problems, and able to work in a startup environment with quick product validation cycles. The role requires 4+ hours of overlap with team members in the Eastern Time Zone.
The Technical Product Specialist will lead technical issue triage, distinguishing between speculative and real issues, and partner with engineers to resolve urgent tickets and incidents. Responsibilities include writing clear, actionable bug reports with thorough reproduction steps to expedite engineering resolution for member-reported issues. The specialist will test pre-release features to ensure quality and escalate any launch-blocking problems. Driving high-priority issues to resolution through strong collaboration with Membership, Engineering, and QA teams is key, acting as a bridge between these departments. Continuous improvement of internal processes for faster, smoother issue resolution while maintaining a high standard of member interaction is expected. The role involves sharing thought processes, knowledge, and experience with the Membership team and providing technical insights and support for escalated cases, utilizing coding and browser technology knowledge.
