Kiddom is seeking a Technical Onboarding Specialist with a strong background in educational technology and a deep understanding of the unique rostering, integration, technical, and operational needs of K-12 institutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing solutions that foster successful student outcomes.

The Technical Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for onboarding customers, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to roster, support, provision, and monitor scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that align with stakeholder goals. This role requires a collaborative individual who can blend technical expertise with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

Technical Onboarding & Data Management

  • Serve as an Onboarding Specialist for school districts, providing technical expertise and guidance during the rostering and provisioning process.
  • Engage with and support educator inquiries through Kiddom Roster Support cases.
  • Provision correct curriculum and Kiddom features for customers nationwide, including state-specific curricula.
  • Ensure accurate Kiddom access based on purchasing details through quality assurance.
  • Manage data import/export processes and demonstrate familiarity with student rostering standards (e.g., OneRoster, Clever, or ClassLink).
  • Support change management efforts by building trust, addressing resistance, and guiding educators through transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with student data privacy laws and district/federal regulations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Learning teams to ensure a positive customer onboarding experience.
  • Engage with IT directors, school administrators, and educational leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and technical environments.
  • Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and coordinating timelines across teams and stakeholders.
  • Partner with implementation and support teams to ensure effective execution of technical designs and prompt resolution of post-implementation issues.
  • Establish processes and procedures for custom integrations by partnering with third-party vendors.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the K-12 EdTech space to identify business opportunities for service enhancements.
  • Participate in internal enablement sessions to build the Go-to-Market (GTM) team's knowledge and confidence in the technical capabilities of Kiddom products.
  • Document onboarding procedures, contribute to playbooks, and suggest process improvements for streamlined future implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical solution design or architecture.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the K-12 EdTech industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
