Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. They must have at least 2 years of experience in technical solution design or architecture, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the K-12 EdTech industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with familiarity with student rostering standards such as OneRoster, Clever, or ClassLink. Understanding of student data privacy laws and the ability to ensure compliance with district and federal regulations is also necessary.
The Technical Onboarding Specialist will serve as an Onboarding Specialist for school districts, providing in-depth technical expertise and guidance throughout the rostering and provisioning process. They will engage and support educator inquiries through Kiddom Roster Support cases, provision correct curriculum and Kiddom features for customers across the country, including State-specific curricula, and build on quality assurance to ensure Kiddom access is accurate of purchasing details. This role involves managing data import/export processes and familiarity with student rostering standards. The Specialist will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Learning to foster a positive onboarding experience, engage with IT directors, school administrators, and educational leaders, manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, and partner with implementation and support teams to ensure effective execution of technical designs. They will also participate in internal enablement sessions, document onboarding procedures, contribute to playbooks, and suggest process improvements to streamline future implementations, as well as partner with third-party vendors to establish processes and procedures for custom integrations.
