Process Controls Engineer

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of industrial controls experience, along with a basic understanding of Ladder Logic, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and FactoryTalk View software. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, experience with programming and troubleshooting robots such as ABB or Fanuc, knowledge of advanced sensor programming, and a working knowledge of communication networks (Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus) are required. Additionally, the candidate should be able to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings, and have experience with DDC (direct digital control) systems and control theory.
The Technical Control Engineer will demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards, while also receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests. They will develop help sheets and knowledge base articles for end-users, test fixes to ensure adequate resolution, and perform post-resolution follow-ups. The role involves performing ongoing activities such as backups, trend analyzing, I/O checks, and assisting site teams with troubleshooting advanced electro-mechanical issues remotely. Furthermore, the engineer will respond to equipment downtime issues, establish required outside resources, train plant electricians, and perform other duties as assigned, including travel for training and site support.
