Position Overview

The Technical Business Analyst will collaborate with product owners and requesters to gather requirements, validate processes, understand scope, define test steps to reproduce, and assist with system request demos and training. This role involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating systems and user needs, producing documentation for current and new processes, and creating system flow diagrams. The Technical Business Analyst will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure assigned projects are well-defined and coordinated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support to cross-functional team(s) with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.
  • Documents and distributes new or revised processes and procedures resulting from project efforts.
  • Analyzes business problems and recommends solutions.
  • Writes user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Creates and implements solution designs to meet business needs.
  • Creates and implements project plans when applicable.
  • Tests designs, manages QA and UAT, and verifies solutions.
  • Writes up and maintains detailed records of initiatives.
  • Performs system demos, participates in user acceptance testing, and conducts user training.
  • Facilitates user acceptance and sign-off.
  • Performs a variety of tasks, requiring a degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates market data and trends.
  • Works with stakeholders and requestors to document requirements, define project scope and objectives, and perform analysis to provide recommendations on next steps to stakeholders and management.

  • Ability to work independently on projects and processes with general supervision.
  • Ability to adapt situationally and understand new technology/processes.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written English communication skills, capable of speaking with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Well-versed in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as SCRUM.
  • Understanding of how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to meet reasonable deadlines.
  • A strong team player with the ability to build positive and collaborative relationships within the organization.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
  • Experience with Financial Analysis and familiarity with financial terms.
  • Willingness to make calls or speak with stakeholders.
