Requirements

  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand throughout the entire shift (stand for extended periods, reach, twist, bend, stoop, walk)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend English
  • Ability to perform basic math (including dosage and days’ supply calculations)

  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new processes, technologies, and workflow changes
  • Flexibility to perform duties across multiple functional areas
  • Must complete IL Certification Requirements within 2 years from license issuance: passing the CPhT exam and Backend Technician Training Program
  • Responsibility of maintaining licensure and compliance training
  • Availability for specific shift: Sunday 2:00 PM – 12:25 AM, Monday-Wednesday 3:00 PM – 1:25 AM

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual filling and packing of medications
  • Fill medications for automated machines
  • Perform Quality Sampling of medications from automated machine
  • Pack orders using automated packing machinery
  • Support shipping handler functions such as manually metering packages and placement of packages to be sorted for shipment
  • Work in all areas of the dispensing pharmacy including product selection, packing, and shipping
