Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experienced in procurement with hands-on execution and team leadership in a dynamic SaaS environment
  • Ability to manage and develop a team of 3-5 Buyers, including performance reviews, goal setting, career development, recruiting, onboarding, and training
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiations with key suppliers/vendors, and complete Source-to-Pay lifecycle for critical categories
  • Proficiency in advanced category management across Marketing, Software, Data Centre, Consulting, Facilities, and HR, including market analysis and supplier relationship strategies
  • Skills in complex contract negotiations, risk assessments, compliance with legal requirements, and vendor performance management
  • Capability to create and deliver executive presentations, lead quarterly business reviews, annual planning, and represent procurement in cross-functional meetings
  • Experience in stakeholder management, partnering with department heads/senior leaders, and leading cross-functional projects
  • Knowledge of procurement metrics/KPIs, automation, digital transformation, and operational excellence benchmarks
  • Availability for 6:00 PM to 3 AM IST shift

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 Buyers, conduct performance reviews, set goals, provide career development guidance, foster collaboration, manage workload, drive performance metrics, recruit, onboard, train, and implement continuous improvement
  • Create and deliver executive presentations on procurement strategies, market insights, and performance dashboards; lead quarterly business reviews, annual procurement planning, and communicate complex concepts to non-procurement stakeholders
  • Represent procurement in cross-functional leadership meetings and act as primary liaison between procurement and executive leadership
  • Personally manage high-value, complex sourcing projects, lead strategic negotiations with key suppliers/vendors, execute Source-to-Pay lifecycle, handle escalated issues and vendor challenges, serve as SME for complex scenarios
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies/procedures, drive automation and digital transformation projects, monitor/optimize KPIs, and establish operational benchmarks
  • Develop comprehensive category strategies across Marketing, Software, Data Centre, Consulting, Facilities, and HR; conduct market analysis, develop supplier strategies, lead vendor summits and strategic reviews for global suppliers
  • Oversee complex contract negotiations and risk assessments, ensure legal/compliance adherence, manage vendor performance/escalations, develop contract templates/negotiation playbooks, lead vendor risk management and business continuity planning
  • Partner with department heads/senior leaders for procurement advisory sessions, lead cross-functional projects/transformation initiatives, and serve as escalation point for procurement issues
