Requirements

  • 2 years prior materials management experience (receiving, storing, distribution/warehouse environment preferred)
  • Basic computer knowledge/skills (data entry, email)
  • Knowledge of inventory and stocking to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • HS degree or equivalent
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Passing Virtua Supply Chain certification

Responsibilities

  • Verify quantity and quality of incoming product using applicable equipment (e.g., handheld or computer) and computer systems
  • Fill, transport, and deliver orders to Service Center designated areas using applicable systems and equipment (e.g., material handling, handheld, and/or personal computer)
  • Maintain and optimize assigned inventories, ensuring First In First Out (FIFO) is practiced
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and security of the receiving, storage, and distribution operations
  • Use applicable Warehouse Management systems to perform duties
  • Operate all Support Services equipment (e.g., carousel, conveyor, forklifts, electric or manual pallet jacks) safely and according to manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Communicate constantly with supervisor, customers, and co-workers to ensure customer needs are met and pass along critical information impacting product demand
  • Address concerns in advance to avoid crisis situations and cover shift shortages as required
  • Check e-mails/voicemail, faxes, and phone for supply requests and/or delivery/product issues; resolve or forward to appropriate personnel
  • Participate in annual physical inventories
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new employees and others as requested
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management
  • Assist the supervisor in maintaining efficient workflow within assigned work group
