Requirements

3+ years of related experience in KYC/KYB, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance or similar compliance/risk function in financial services, working across multiple jurisdictions
Prior know-your-customer (KYC) and sanctions compliance experience
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience or professional qualification
Proven people management experience with ability to see the big picture without losing attention to detail
Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Team player who can work well within the function to deliver quality service
Ability to operate with limited direct supervision, exercise independent judgement and autonomy
ACAMs, ICA certification or demonstrated knowledge of AML regulations (nice to have)
Experience working with teams across global offices and time zones (nice to have)
Ability to research, process, and interpret large amounts of information daily to make ethical decisions with integrity (nice to have)

Responsibilities

Review customer KYC cases identified through onboarding systems for potential money laundering, terrorist financing, Bank Secrecy Act violations, and other AML/fraud issues
Provide people management and development, ensuring team meets service level standards
Liaise with Compliance department and management in business units
Assist in overseeing new client onboarding and implementing process enhancements to improve client experience
Monitor periodic reviews to ensure regulatory requirements are met
Act as subject matter expert (SME) to stakeholders and team members
Prepare daily and weekly metrics and progress reports
Serve as contact point for questions from clients and internal/external stakeholders
Ensure legal and customer files/data are maintained per European Regulations and Group policies
Investigate possible matches from scanning application for sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media, taking appropriate action
Provide information to management on AML/CDD issues
Maintain high-quality service levels to customers and departments, handling queries professionally and escalating as needed
Manage specific projects as they arise
