Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with over 3 years of experience in software development for Linux-based server infrastructure. A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS GovCloud, networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls), and systems architecture is required. Proven experience in monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure, and reproducible system configuration (Nix/NixOS is a plus) is essential.

Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Software Engineer will design, manage, and scale cloud and server infrastructure, optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring reliable systems for autonomous fleet operations. Responsibilities include operating and optimizing build systems in on-premise and GovCloud environments, managing GovCloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and optimizing resource usage and costs. The role involves maintaining secure and reliable cloud-to-ground data synchronization, enabling efficient developer workflows, architecting disaster recovery mechanisms, maintaining uptime SLAs, responding to infrastructure incidents, configuring and administering network devices, maintaining core services, operating high-performance storage systems, supporting key databases, implementing and auditing system security policies, managing user identity and secrets, conducting patching and vulnerability remediation, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, automating server configuration and deployment, building internal tools, maintaining documentation, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with engineering teams for system integration and scaling.
