Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and have 3-5 years of experience in system administration or a related role. They should be proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems, along with strong knowledge of networking protocols, services, and hardware, and demonstrate excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, MCSE, or Linux Professional Institute are considered a bonus.
The System Administrator will manage and administer all aspects of system infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking, while installing, configuring, and updating operating systems, applications, and system tools. They will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery strategies, conduct regular system audits, and collaborate with IT support teams to resolve user issues and implement new solutions. Furthermore, they will document system configurations and changes, research and recommend new technologies, and provide training and support to users on system-related issues and best practices.
