Requirements

Knowledge of USV/FMS policies and procedures, state and federal regulations
Ability to maintain sterile technique during procedures
Scope of practice for preparing and administering medications per state regulations
Compliance with HIPAA policies and standards
Ability to inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment
Understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) tools and USV quality standards

Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance and setup of procedure room per policies, regulations, and standards
Stocks procedure room, trays, and stock room with supplies and equipment
Cleans procedure room, equipment, and machinery post-procedure
Prepares patient for procedures (positioning, shaving, prepping)
Prepares and administers medications, draws up IV meds, and labels per policy
Performs patient transfers, positioning, and transport to/from procedure room
Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy
Performs circulating duties in the procedure room
Ensures environmental integrity, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety
Inspects equipment daily before/after procedures and documents issues
Assists with instrument sterilization, packaging, inventory, ordering, and re-stocking supplies
Provides clerical support: works with physicians/staff on instruments/equipment, prints/sends images, files paperwork, processes/archives x-ray images
Supports quality standards, implements action plans, maintains records
Participates in regulatory/accreditation surveys and addresses deficiencies
Assists with marketing, educating, promoting, and selling services to dialysis clinics, physicians, etc., in assigned territory; supports sales team
