Requirements

  • Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one job area

  • Capability to establish operational plans, implement policies and strategies, and handle budget or P&L accountability

  • Strong communication and influence skills for interacting with internal/external customers, vendors, and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line
  • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience
  • Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
  • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity
  • Works closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle
  • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications
  • Provides advertising with core brand equity
  • Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues
  • Manages a team of supervisors and/or experienced professionals, including accountability for mentoring, developing, coaching staff, conducting performance reviews, 1:1s, and guiding performance management
  • Oversees area of responsibility, manages performance, develops talent, ensures engagement and inclusion, communicates business developments, plans, prioritizes, and directs responsibilities of direct reports
  • Provides tactical and operational leadership and coaching; receives assignments in task and objective-oriented terms
  • Establishes operational plans and implements policies and strategies impacting program schedules, customer satisfaction, resource allocation, expenditures, and funds
  • Strives for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables
  • Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations, using influence and persuasion to gain cooperation
  • Leads, directs, and reviews the work of a team; authorizes hiring, firing, promotion, and rewards within own area
