Requirements

  • 5+ year track record of building and shipping products that customers love and that produce business impact

  • High agency and a bias for action; ability to work independently and lead complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity and a first-principles approach; dig deep into problems, ask "why" relentlessly, and turn complex problems into simple, elegant experiences
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills; ability to pull your own data, develop business cases, and synthesize inputs for prioritization
  • Enough technical know-how to discuss architecture and technical considerations with engineers, weighing tradeoffs

Responsibilities

  • Launch & grow a market-leading credit card program
  • Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for Wealthsimple’s credit card offering and payment cards platform capabilities across credit and banking
  • Operate at both strategic and tactical levels—setting direction while rolling up your sleeves when needed
  • Contribute to defining an ambitious product vision and strategy for your domain, owning the roadmap for the Payment Cards team
  • Lead the planning, development, and launch of new product experiences that continuously raise the bar on quality and impact
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and data scientists, fostering a "do-what-it-takes" mentality to deliver impactful projects
  • Break down complex, behind-the-scenes projects into discrete phases that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally
  • Develop a deep understanding of the payments landscape, including credit modeling, fraud protection, collections, and third-party vendor evaluations
  • Conduct hands-on quantitative and qualitative analysis, and talk directly to customers to uncover problems, identify unmet needs, and validate solutions
