Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • APICS certification (or equivalent relevant experience) is strongly preferred
  • More than 5 years of managerial experience, with a focus on S&OP/IBP processes and material handling
  • Experience in designing and structuring teams to meet strategic objectives and performance targets
  • High level of IT literacy, with advanced knowledge of SAP, Excel, and Access
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies, as well as project management experience
  • Demonstrated commercial exposure and ability to operate in cross-functional business environments
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing diverse teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, particularly in coordinating and collaborating across Business, Production, and Supply Chain functions
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; able to interact effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • Ability to delegate effectively, foster collaboration, and mobilize collective team efforts toward shared goals
  • High analytical capability, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to quickly adjust to changing environments, shifting priorities, and emerging technologies, while maintaining high performance and a positive mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Material Management departments across both Bad Säckingen and Bergkamen sites, ensuring efficient and reliable operations
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations in all areas of warehousing, material handling, transportation, and cargo securing
  • Collaborate closely with Site Managers as an integral part of the local leadership teams in Bad Säckingen and Bergkamen
  • Align external customer demand with site capabilities, balancing business needs and operational constraints
  • Act as a key driver and supporter of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and initiatives at the site level
  • Manage and optimize site inventory, ensuring alignment with corporate inventory targets and supply chain goals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Customer Service, Supply Network Planning, and the Quality team
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling, ensuring smooth coordination and timely execution
  • Ensure high levels of warehouse performance, organization, and process efficiency
  • Coordinate planning and handling of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods
  • Provide seamless logistics support for production, ensuring timely material availability
  • Maintain direct communication and alignment with the Distribution and Transport teams to ensure delivery performance
  • Identify and implement opportunities for network and process optimization across the supply chain
