Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-4 years of related billing experience at a progressively responsible level, including at least 1 year of supervisory or lead capacity, demonstrating knowledge of billing transactions and processes and the ability to determine and implement processes and standards to meet performance targets. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word, is required, along with the ability to professionally and cooperatively interact and communicate with leadership, staff, and customers. The ability to establish processes and procedures to ensure effective department workflow and track, measure, and manage performance is also essential.
The Supervisor, Billing will supervise the billing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and driving performance improvement initiatives. They will monitor staff performance, set performance standards, and ensure service levels meet agreed-upon standards. The incumbent will oversee the preparation of monthly invoices, billing adjustments, and handling of billing questions and discrepancies, while ensuring staff adheres to standard operating procedures and executing billing processes. They will also supervise the entry of new and updated customer contracts into systems, act as a resource for complex billing issues, participate in cross-functional approaches, and perform other duties as assigned, including researching and resolving escalated billing questions and discrepancies, providing direction to others, and ensuring acceptable resolution of billing issues.
