Founded in 2019, Headway has grown into a diverse, national network comprising over 45,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states. These providers utilize our software to manage their practices and have collectively served over 1 million patients. As a Series D company, Headway has secured over $325 million in funding from prominent investors including a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures, and Health Care Service Corporation.

The Engineering team at Headway is a pivotal force in building our new mental healthcare system, leveraging the power of software for scale and impact. Our team of approximately 120 dedicated individuals utilizes technology to shape the future of mental healthcare, fostering a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.

About This Role

Headway is dedicated to building a national network of therapists who accept insurance, thereby making mental healthcare significantly more accessible. Our support for providers extends beyond patient connections to encompass their initial discovery of Headway and understanding our value proposition.

Providers are central to Headway's mission, and enabling more of them to join our platform is crucial for expanding access to care. This role specifically focuses on developing the tools, systems, and experiences that assist providers in learning about Headway, expressing interest, and initiating their journey with us. From our referral engine and marketing web experiences to lead capture and routing infrastructure, you will be accountable for the complete technical foundation driving provider acquisition.

As an Engineering Leader at Headway, you will be responsible for leading and developing the team responsible for these core growth initiatives. This includes people development, strategic planning, and providing hands-on technical support. You will play a key role in defining the "what" and "how" of these systems, establishing team operational standards, and ultimately driving best-in-class experiences that convert interest into action.

This is a critical leadership position at Headway, directly contributing to our mission of increasing mental healthcare accessibility. By facilitating more providers' discovery, trust, and adoption of Headway, you will have a direct impact on both provider growth and the overall expansion of accessible mental healthcare services.
