Requirements

Preferred field(s) of study: Capital or Public Finance, Economics, Geographic Information Systems, Non-profit Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or a related field
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program

Responsibilities

Assist project manager directly and significantly with active projects
Work with department staff to facilitate the implementation of contracts funding capital construction projects throughout NYC
Assist project managers in researching, data collection, writing technical briefs, and designing classes/workshops
Assist project managers in collecting, reviewing and processing project documents
Assist in reviewing, approving, and tracking a large volume of reimbursements requests from client organizations
Coordinate between external agencies, internal departments, and funding recipients the collection and maintenance of compliance documentation
Work with project managers to develop and implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency
Assist with coordinating and hosting departmental programming events
Monitor and track internal inquiries by other departments, City agencies, and client organizations
Perform general department office duties
