Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
18 years of age
Enjoy working with youth
Available to work evenings and/or weekends
Previous youth experience is preferred
Previous physical education teaching is preferred
Attend a training shift before your first shift
Be available at least 6 of the 10 weeks between June 23rd - August 25th 2025
Camp shifts are generally 7.5 hours in length Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm
Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual

Responsibilities

Bringing about safe play for all the campers attending camp over the Summer Camp
Facilitate check-in, waivers, rental shoes, facility rules and orientation with Youth Program participants
Instruct full day Youth Program sessions in collaboration with/under the guidance of the Programs Manager
Participate in individual and group coaching of scheduled groups
Provide excellent customer service to all families entering the DC Bouldering Project facility
Maintain regular communication with Program Leadership regarding youth programming at BP
Communicate with youth participants and their families in a friendly and professional manner
Provide ongoing feedback to youth, their families, and Program Leadership regarding the needs and development of youth programs participants
