Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Enjoy working with youth
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Previous youth experience is preferred
  • Previous physical education teaching is preferred
  • Attend a training shift before your first shift
  • Be available at least 6 of the 10 weeks between June 23rd - August 25th 2025
  • Camp shifts are generally 7.5 hours in length Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual

Responsibilities

  • Bringing about safe play for all the campers attending camp over the Summer Camp
  • Facilitate check-in, waivers, rental shoes, facility rules and orientation with Youth Program participants
  • Instruct full day Youth Program sessions in collaboration with/under the guidance of the Programs Manager
  • Participate in individual and group coaching of scheduled groups
  • Provide excellent customer service to all families entering the DC Bouldering Project facility
  • Maintain regular communication with Program Leadership regarding youth programming at BP
  • Communicate with youth participants and their families in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide ongoing feedback to youth, their families, and Program Leadership regarding the needs and development of youth programs participants
