Requirements

Candidates must be undergraduate or graduate students with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later, pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or Computer Science, and maintain a GPA of 3.2 or above. Technical experience with platforms like Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, SQL, or Python is a plus. Knowledge of finance, the insurance industry, investments, or actuarial fields is beneficial, as is an understanding of insurance products and operations. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

Actuarial interns will perform mathematical and higher clerical tasks, compile and categorize data, and document and verify factors used in computations. They will assist in evaluating loss and expense reserves, preparing rate filings and schedules of statistics, and contributing to financial statements, premiums, benefits, and the establishment of rating and pricing levels. Interns will also undertake other assigned duties and projects.
