Requirements

  • Minimum 2 SOA actuarial exams passed
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with standard Microsoft Office product suite
  • Proficiency in Excel, and some programming experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or related areas

Responsibilities

  • Provide actuarial support for the Aetna Medicaid Behaviorial Health Centers of Excellence
  • Support nationwide monitoring of pricing vs. actual benefit expenses
  • Build analytic tools and dashboards to aid plan actuaries in determining rate adequacy and promoting rate advocacy
  • Perform actuarial functions by applying expanded quantitative skills and analytical methodologies
  • Leverage strong technical skills to recommend solutions
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and business acumen
  • Set own priorities within pre-established overall deadlines
  • Complete tasks independently with some direction from supervisor
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal drive, technical acumen, and communication
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations
