Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing works, with preference for experience on 330kV and above transmission lines. Fluency in English is required, along with familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures. Working at Height certification is mandatory, and certifications in rigging, lifting, or power transmission are considered advantageous. Relevant City & Guild or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The High Voltage Power Transmission Line Stringing Specialist will perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines while adhering to safety and quality standards. They will operate and maintain stringing equipment such as tensioners, pullers, and winches, ensuring proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires. The Specialist will work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles, coordinate with site supervisors and engineers, troubleshoot technical issues, and adhere to safety regulations, work procedures, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
