5-6+ years experience in direct sourcing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Advanced experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management

Responsibilities

Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
Manage claims
Perform commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. (may include purchasing activities)
Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
Explain information, develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues
Function with some autonomy subject to functional practices, precedents, or well-defined policies; modify procedures as long as end results meet standards
Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters for complicated day-to-day problems, prioritize information for data analysis, and use technical experience and multiple sources for decisions
