This role involves working with event organizers across various event types, from music festivals to conferences. The position offers a consultative sales approach with no set script, allowing for tailored solutions for clients. The team is trained and invested in to foster career growth. Account Executives are expected to be accomplished sales professionals with high performance standards and a desire to win. The role focuses on bringing new contacts onto the Eventbrite platform, selling its unique value proposition, and evangelizing the solution.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of sales experience, preferably in the event industry and in a growth-stage environment. Key attributes include a convincing personality, a passion for winning, attention to detail, a drive to exceed expectations, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations. Eventbrite is looking for individuals who are smart, driven, and passionate about revolutionizing the ticketing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual key performance metrics by selling Eventbrite solutions to large and enterprise creators.
  • Deliver value-based sales pitches to position Eventbrite as a strategic partner.
  • Primarily engage clients via phone or virtual meetings, with potential for face-to-face meetings as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and develop a sales pipeline through cold/warm calling, email campaigns, and industry knowledge.
  • Guide lead generation initiatives with the SDR and marketing teams.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, engaging relevant internal resources (Account Management, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Executives).
  • Collaborate with the product team to understand new releases and align go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify and create external partnerships to meet enterprise client needs.
  • Develop expertise in the ticketing industry by tracking trends, market challenges, and competitive offerings.
  • Represent Eventbrite at customer forums, conferences, and panels to build brand attraction and thought leadership.
  • Update the CRM system with customer and pipeline data.
  • Conduct accurate deal forecasting and revenue delivery.
  • Effectively collaborate with sales peers, customers, and vendors to interpret information and improve sales processes.

Skill Set

  • 5-7 years of sales experience with a record of quota over-achievement, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to execute a consultative sales methodology.
  • Firm understanding of customer identification, buyer interest evaluation, decision-making process recognition, objection handling, and closing techniques.
  • Experience with Salesforce, PowerPoint, Word, Google Drive, and web-based presentation technology.
  • Strong desire to work in an innovative and dynamic company.
  • Prior industry experience is required; ticketing experience is a plus.
