Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s retail business and excel in a management role
  • Lead amongst the team, identify and work towards store priorities, and deliver great guest service
  • Drive guest experience and impact store’s financial, team, and operational performance
  • Work alongside a mentor, learn to lead their department, and step into leading the mentor's department with guidance
  • Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and support execution of daily operations
  • Spend time on the store salesfloor and backroom leading amongst team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities
  • Learn guest service fundamentals, build and manage a guest-first team culture, guest engagement, problem-solving, and resolution
  • Understand retail business fundamentals, set and plan department monthly/quarterly workload, and manage team to deliver service and sales goals
  • Manage a team of hourly team members and leaders, create business strategies and goals, and handle recruiting, selecting, and talent management
