  • Solid understanding of the features and benefits in the area of evolving storage technical solutions and how HPE solutions are differentiated from the competition
  • Deep expertise of end-to-end data solutions leveraging the HPE storage portfolio and ecosystem of partners
  • Ability to effectively use references to craft a story that makes complex technologies seem simple and understandable for customers
  • Intermediate understanding of the unique business needs of clients within the industry
  • Ability to interface with internal and external/industry experts

Responsibilities

  • Drive storage sales in an assigned territory, industry, or account(s)
  • Actively prospect new storage opportunities and discover or cultivate opportunities for storage solutions within existing accounts
  • Manage, coordinate, and drive sales activities; build sales pipeline and drive opportunities to successful closure using internal sales tools; execute pursuit plans
  • Formulate and expand solutions to generate additional product or service attachments and upsell to increase revenue
  • Build sales readiness and reduce client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in storage
  • Coordinate supporting sales activities related to pipeline hygiene through account managers, Presales, channel partners, and other stakeholders
  • Effectively use internal sales tools for maintaining a healthy pipeline and the account plan in a timely fashion
  • Collaborate across HPE teams to deliver a consistent approach to developing business, including account planning for end-to-end solutions
  • Negotiate profitable deals to expand opportunities, increase company's footprint and revenue in storage
  • Establish a professional and consultative relationship with the client; work with the client up to the IT management level
  • Interface with internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development
  • Focus on and work with the channel to forge relationships, provide enablement of key technologies, and co-sell to end users
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns (digital/new techniques) associated with storage to ensure successful launches and alignment with account strategy
  • Responsible for the close plan for storage-related opportunities
