Candidates must have over 8 years of program management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical reliability or quality. A strong understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and reliability engineering principles is required, along with familiarity with SDLC models, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and incident management tooling. Proven success in defining and improving SLOs, SLIs, and production readiness processes is essential, as is the ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs and translate complex technical goals into actionable outcomes. Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Atlas for program tracking and reporting is expected, along with the ability to navigate ambiguity and build alignment.
The Staff Technical Program Manager will own the Quality & Reliability program, defining its vision and driving proactive practices, reactive processes, and cultural expectations. They will lead cross-functional programs to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational quality, including owning the Production Readiness Review process and defining/driving SLOs. Responsibilities also include streamlining incident management, scaling tooling and automation, mitigating system risk, driving alignment across various teams, tracking progress using tools like Atlas and Jira, and embedding continuous learning from incidents and testing.
