Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable applications. Strong Java development and debugging skills are required, along with a deep understanding of data architecture, system design, and scalability challenges. Proficiency in building highly scalable services based on REST, experience with front end technologies and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Underscore, and knowledge of various data stores including SQL, NoSQL, and key-value stores are also necessary. Experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure) based commercial systems, production-quality services, deployment, monitoring, and reliability, and experience with DevOps practices like source control, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and containerized deployment are highly beneficial.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the performance of large-scale distributed systems with security and compliance in mind. You will build SaaS based commercial products to process and analyze terabytes of data, own all aspects of implementation for features from design to development, deployment to production, and support and maintenance. Additionally, you will write clean, performant, and well-tested code, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other operational issues in the cloud environment, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
