Turing is a fast-growing AI company focused on advancing and deploying powerful AI systems. This role is critical to Turing's mission as talent is their product. You will lead the next generation of their AI-first talent assessment platform, building multimodal, LLM-powered experiences to identify skills, predict potential, and reduce bias at a global scale. The impact north star for this role is a Talent Trial Success rate of over 90%.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and roadmap for the talent assessment platform, establishing a 3- to 12-month product strategy aligned with placement quality, fairness, and speed metrics.
  • Ship 0→1 and 1→N capabilities, rapidly prototyping LLM-based assessments (e.g., code agents, multimodal challenges) and scaling validated solutions across 200+ skill areas.
  • Partner deeply with AI research teams to translate advances in RAG, self-critique, and RLHF into production-grade scoring pipelines.
  • Drive a data and insight loop by instrumenting every assessment to capture granular telemetry and synthesizing it with hiring outcomes to continuously improve algorithms and UX.
  • Lead cross-functional squads, aligning engineering, design, ops, and go-to-market on priorities, and ruthlessly managing scope to deliver quarterly impact.
  • Institutionalize responsible AI by embedding fairness, transparency, and privacy controls, and meeting evolving global employment regulations.
  • Evangelize internally and externally by publishing benchmarks, speaking at conferences, and influencing the talent-tech ecosystem.

Success Metrics (Examples)

  • Placement success rate, time-to-match, and candidate NPS.
  • Assessment validity (correlation with on-the-job performance).
  • Model bias & drift scores (gender, geography, seniority).
  • Cost per assessment run.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience with 0→1 ownership.
  • 3+ years of experience building ML/AI or data-intensive platforms.
  • Proven track record of shipping UX-intensive, real-time evaluation or proctoring systems at scale (>100k MAU).
  • Working fluency in LLM architectures, vector search, prompt engineering, and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong analytical rigor, including SQL, experimentation design, and statistical thinking.
  • Exceptional storytelling and stakeholder alignment skills across C-suite, engineering, and compliance.
  • Ability to operate with high agency in environments of ambiguity and hyper-growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in psychometrics, adaptive testing, or talent/learning management systems.
  • Experience with tools like Cursor, Replit, Vercel v0.dev, or similar for rapid AI prototyping.
  • Exposure to distributed, multicultural product development.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in responsible AI, bias mitigation, or employment law.

First 90 Days - Outcomes

  • Prototype and ship an adaptive, multimodal Video AI Interviewer MVP that spans the full assessment lifecycle, including auto-generation of content.
