Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team, demonstrating excellence and best practices
  • Deliver patient care including safe dispensing, meaningful counseling, immunizations, and empathy
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager by quarterbacking the team, overseeing operations during bench shifts as proxy, and assuming day-to-day duties when primary or only pharmacist on duty
  • Follow and direct team adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures, safety guardrails, legal/regulatory guidelines, and workplace policies
  • Coach and provide feedback to pharmacy team members on performance, strengthening pharmacy measures
  • Manage and improve patient health through appropriate practices and resolving insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer immunizations and support technicians in learning to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, following best practices with focus on cold chain products
  • Collaborate with patient's total healthcare team and contribute to positive patient experiences
