Requirements

  • Licensed pharmacist (implied by role as Staff Pharmacist)
  • Prior experience as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist
  • Ability to complete a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap (virtual and hands-on) within 3-6 months

Responsibilities

  • Deliver purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager by exhibiting best practices on the bench, including quarterbacking the team and providing meaningful patient counseling
  • Oversee the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap, strengthening performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback
  • Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
  • Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, with focus on cold chain products
  • Partner with the Pharmacy Manager in cultivating a culture of excellence and developing leadership skills for future Pharmacy Manager role
