Requirements

  • Licensed pharmacist (implied by role as Staff Pharmacist)
  • Prior experience as Staff or District Support Pharmacist
  • Ability to complete self-paced, collaborative training roadmap (virtual and hands-on) within 3-6 months

Responsibilities

  • Deliver purpose by managing/improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
  • Support Pharmacy Manager (PM) by exhibiting best practices on the bench: quarterbacking team, patient counseling, workflow adherence
  • Oversee pharmacy as PM proxy during bench shifts: coach team, follow up on performance, provide feedback to PM
  • Assume PM’s day-to-day duties when only/primary pharmacist-on-duty
  • Ensure safe/accurate prescription fulfillment by following/directing workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences: show empathy, resolve issues, collaborate with healthcare team, coach team on compassionate care
  • Proactively offer/deliver immunizations and support technicians in learning to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory: follow/coach on best practices, focus on cold chain protection
  • Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback
  • Build leadership skills for future Pharmacy Manager role
