Responsibilities

Deliver purpose by managing/improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
Support Pharmacy Manager (PM) by exhibiting best practices on the bench: quarterbacking team, patient counseling, workflow adherence
Oversee pharmacy as PM proxy during bench shifts: coach team, follow up on performance, provide feedback to PM
Assume PM’s day-to-day duties when only/primary pharmacist-on-duty
Ensure safe/accurate prescription fulfillment by following/directing workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences: show empathy, resolve issues, collaborate with healthcare team, coach team on compassionate care
Proactively offer/deliver immunizations and support technicians in learning to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory: follow/coach on best practices, focus on cold chain protection
Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback
Build leadership skills for future Pharmacy Manager role
