Requirements
Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where the position is located. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work effectively with diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
The Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care to customers by accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling them on health care and medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and managing controlled medications. They will also be responsible for monitoring and interpreting changes in employment legislation across North America and developing HR policies to ensure compliance, conduct audits, deliver training, and advise management on HR-related risk mitigation strategies. Furthermore, they will participate in community involvement, including Wellness Days, and model and provide guidance to the pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches, utilizing tools and data to understand community concerns and stay updated on health issues.
