Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment, along with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and practices. Prior experience as a pharmacist is preferred, and familiarity with patient counseling and medication dispensing is expected.
The Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care to customers by accurately processing and dispensing prescription orders, counseling them on health care and medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and managing controlled medications. They will also be responsible for modeling and providing guidance to pharmacy staff on customer service, utilizing data and conversations to understand the community's health concerns, and participating in community outreach and wellness events.
