Responsibilities

Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching team members, following up on performance, and providing feedback to Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching team on best practices, with focus on cold chain products
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Support safe, inclusive team dynamic; write pharmacy schedule if directed by Pharmacy Manager
Maintain and expand clinical/technical skills through trainings, CMEs, and knowledge-seeking
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing, prescribing)
