Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. This is a remote role for the USA. Reporting to the Manager Network Engineering, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, monitoring, and supporting network infrastructures across multiple data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with a team of skilled engineers to deploy, operate, monitor, and support network infrastructures across multiple data centers.
  • Acting as the L3 technical escalation point, taking a lead role in managing and resolving high-severity or critical incidents.
  • Performing thorough peer reviews ("4-Eye checks") on configuration and change scripts to ensure accuracy, validity, and adherence to standards.
  • Offering expert technical guidance and mentorship to the team within the network domain, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to ensure continuous operational support and issue resolution.

Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
  • Experience working with ticketing and inventory systems in remote Data Center operations.
  • 6+ years of experience on high-speed copper and fiber Ethernet switch network.
  • Proficiency in Layer-2 spanning-tree protocols and Layer-3 BGP protocols.
  • Hands-on experience in BGP routing operation, design, and troubleshooting in both IPv4 and IPv6 for large-scale Enterprise networks or Telecom networks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IP-packet analysis using Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of DNS, HTTPS, GRE, and IPsec protocols with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience on Linux/Unix, and network equipment and the tasks they perform.
  • Familiarity with Unix Shell scripts.
  • CCNP, JNCIP related certification classes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: $119,000 - $170,000 USD
  • Note: This range is benchmarked and determined by role and level. The displayed range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on factors like job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The listed base salary excludes commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) and benefits.
