Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in professional mobile development and 3 years of experience with React Native. Familiarity with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) modules is required, along with a proven track record of shipping mobile apps end-to-end and experience setting up CI/CD for mobile. Preferred qualifications include experience as a founding or early engineer at a high-growth startup, experience mentoring engineers and scaling a mobile organization, and experience working on 0 to 1 mobile products.

Responsibilities

The Staff Mobile Engineer will build Rula's first mobile apps from the ground up, defining the technical foundation for both iOS and Android using React Native. This role involves establishing best practices for mobile development, guiding the company's mobile strategy, and working closely with design and product partners to launch patient-facing mobile experiences. The engineer will contribute to making mental health care more accessible and have an immediate impact on how patients and providers interact with the platform.
