Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (implied by role level and responsibilities)
Expertise in designing, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing processes, tooling, and fixtures for product lifecycle from design to production
Ability to work collaboratively with R&D, QA, Production, Procurement, and other departments
Proficiency in data collection, process performance analysis, and capability assessment for new and existing products
Experience with tolerance analysis for components, materials, packaging, and supplies
Knowledge of developing and maintaining process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (pFMEAs)
Skills in preparing user requirements, technical specifications, and design specifications
Capability to identify process requirements, advise operations management, and implement equipment/fixturing
Experience developing and maintaining documentation for design control, product configurations, manufacturing procedures, lot history records (e.g., BOMs, MPIs, LHRs), and Quality System requirements
Proficiency in evaluating engineering processes and implementing improvements
Expertise in leading/participating in problem-solving using DMAIC methodology
Ability to lead/participate in product/process improvement projects
Experience assisting with supplier selection and technical development
Knowledge of recommending new technologies for system performance and reliability improvements
Skills in performing productivity and costing analysis

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with R&D, QA, and Production to design, develop, test, document, and implement processes, tooling, and fixtures
Collect data and analyze process performance and capabilities for company products, including new products and products in production
Perform tolerance analysis for components, manufacturing materials, packaging, and supplies used for in-house processing
Lead development and maintenance of process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (pFMEAs)
Prepare user requirements, technical specifications, and design specifications
Identify process requirements, advise and support operations management, and implement equipment and fixturing for process development and manufacturing
Develop and maintain documentation for design control, product configurations, manufacturing procedures, lot history records (e.g., bills-of-materials, MPIs, LHRs), and other Quality System requirements
Evaluate existing engineering processes and implement process improvements
Lead and/or actively participate in product/process engineering problem solving using DMAIC methodology
Lead and/or actively participate in process/product improvement projects in cooperation with production, R&D engineers, and technicians
Assist Procurement and R&D with supplier selection and technical development
Recommend new technologies to improve system performance and reliability
Perform productivity and costing analysis
