Requirements

Candidates must have 12+ years of backend/platform engineering experience, strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL, and deep expertise in API design, SaaS architectures, and microservices. Experience building and maintaining internal tools/platforms and expertise in authentication/authorization systems for multi-tenant apps are also required, along with AWS/cloud platform design experience. A background in developer tooling, workflow orchestration, or compliance-heavy environments, and AI/ML system infra awareness are considered bonuses.

Responsibilities

The Staff Engineer will build internal platforms to power Payroll AI and automation teams, design and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure and developer tooling, and work cross-functionally with engineering teams to deliver reusable, stable solutions.
