Requirements

Candidates should have proven engineering impact in complex, cloud-based systems and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with large language models in production, including user-facing products leveraging agent architectures. Familiarity with transformer networks and attention mechanisms is required, along with direct experience deploying LLM evaluation frameworks and building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. Nuanced perspectives and experience with indexing/chunking strategies, semantic search, and vector databases are also necessary. Many strong candidates have 10+ years of experience, and the ability to lead through hands-on contribution is essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Applied AI Engineer will shape how AI agents plan, reason, remember, and safely take action across thousands of integrations with enterprise-grade reliability. This role involves working on reasoning, integrations, and the user interface for natural language delegation. Responsibilities include shipping systems that thousands of teams rely on, making agentic automation useful at scale, and addressing hard problems such as planning & tool selection, grounding & evals, safety & governance, memory models, and latency/cost tradeoffs at production scale. The engineer will also explore new AI developments, push the boundaries of agentic ability and UX, and ensure reliability for customer-dependent systems.
