Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's Degree and over 4 years of experience in research/ML engineering or an applied research scientist role, with a preference for developing production-ready AI solutions. A minimum of 2 years of experience leading the development of AI/ML systems is required. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis/data mining tools is essential, along with experience in machine learning frameworks like Pytorch, Jax, LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen. Experience with high-performance, large-scale ML systems, language modeling with transformers, symbolic planning, causal reasoning, model-based RL, and large-scale ETL is also required.

Responsibilities

The Lead Data Scientist will architect goal setting and decomposition mechanisms for autonomous agents, design and implement dynamic planning systems, and collaborate on memory, tool-use, and feedback-loop designs for self-directed agent behavior. Responsibilities include developing evaluation frameworks for alignment with human intent, prototyping agents that interface with various systems, exploring mechanisms to mitigate goal misalignment and undesirable emergent strategies, and integrating goal alignment with safety, alignment, and operational reliability mechanisms.
