Requirements
Candidates should have leadership experience developing and delivering ML and AI models, with a strong understanding of common AI platform technologies like ONNX or OpenVino. Experience working with runtime data in high-performance environments and familiarity with AI hardware acceleration using NPU or GPU are necessary. Strong C/C++ and systems-level programming experience is required, along with endpoint development experience on Windows, Linux, or macOS, preferably including Windows kernel development. A track record of owning solutions from design through post-delivery and the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries are essential.
Responsibilities
The Principal Software Engineer will define capabilities for a next-generation endpoint AI framework for the Falcon sensor in collaboration with data science, endpoint engineering, and product groups. This role involves leading the development of the framework as an individual contributor, architect, and thought leader, guiding the technology direction for a high-performance, cross-platform model delivery framework. Responsibilities include designing interfaces for models to interact with the Falcon sensor, defining resource utilization limits, and optimizing solutions for AI-powered endpoint security while maintaining a lightweight agent footprint. The engineer will also define approaches for testing efficacy, regression, and performance, ensuring repeatability with runtime data.
